It was a big week

So many things happened this week:

  • it was the one year anniversary of finding out, officially, that I had cancer
  • today is the one year anniversary of starting this blog
  • I met with a physio/trainer that is supervising a work-out study. I am going to be doing special arm stretches and exercises for 12 weeks to see the impact on recovery and range of motion. Basically, I got free stretch bands and a binder full of exercises

Today, I had my second appointment with Dr. MovieStar, aka the new plastic surgeon. Last time, I was under the impression I needed a CT scan before he told me if I could get the DIEP surgery or not. Turns out I misunderstood him. I do need the CT scan (booked for March 3rd) but it’s so he can plan which tissue and vessels he’ll use. I’m in. I’m good to go. So today, he expanded my boobs again. Last time, I had a bit of loose skin so it was bothersome but not painful. Today, the 50ccs on each side felt like a small child sitting on my chest and pressing down on my ribs. Good thing I’m planning on stopping at B, because I can’t imagine doing many more of these fillings.

In the waiting room, I spoke to 2 other patients who happened to recognize me from the poster. Yes, that’s already happening. It’s not only my friends spotting me, now people I don’t know are starting to recognize me.

Now if you’ll excuse me, I’m going to stick icepacks on my boobs and maybe take a pill, because these expanders are killing me!

Happy blog birthday. Thank goodness for these things, eh?

    Sending good thoughts and Glitter!
(I was going to say “Hang in there” but then that seemed inappropriate. I mean you would want them to be perky not “Hangy” right?)

Currently it looks like WordPress is the best blogging platform available right now. (from what I’ve read) Is that what you are using on your blog?
