You’re gonna hear me ROAR!

My kid came home yesterday with this powerful version of Katy Perry’s Roar, which I linked to on FB. Then my friend LV suggested I needed my own theme song. Lo and behold, this morning, one of my favorite fellow cancer-ass-kickers wrote and EXCELLENT post which I highly encourage you to read. It also included this version of ROAR.

Warning. This includes graphic pictures of REAL women fighting breast cancer. I encourage you to watch it. Really see it with your own eyes. If more people would look at what it’s REALLY all about, and not just lipstick and pink socks, I think the conversation would shift. I think gals like me who find it hard would have an easier time.

Kudos to the awesome women who were brave enough to post those pictures. I am going to add a picture gallery page to my blog. You won’t have to see it unless you click on it. But I need to do this for myself, to document the process. And for others who don’t feel brave enough to do it. The last few days have kicked me down so low. But I’m starting to get back up. And this is one way I can do it.

That is incredibly powerful. And scary. And eye opening. Thank you for sharing it.

I am now off to call to schedule my mammogram. Thanks for kicking my butt into action.

  2. Meg

Wow! That is powerful! Thanks for sharing

Fuck yeah V. So now you’ve found your place. This is the part of the dialogue that you are meant to be a part of. Let me know if I can help.
